Lose Fat And Find That Thin, Slender, Sexy You

SHARE & COMMENT

If we are completely honest with ourselves, probably 98% of us want to be thin, slender, sexy, and attractive. Most of us believe that the numbers on the scale are what determine this appeal; but this is very far from the truth. A person’s muscle to fat ratio is much more of a factor. Therefore, if you want to be all of these things – and more – it is time to stop looking at the scale and start focusing on how to lose fat.

Lose fat not weight

The mindset to lose fat is quite different than the mindset to lose weight. When people think of losing weight they typically think of cutting calories and running for hours a day. This is quite a dangerous approach to life and will not get you that thin, slender, sexy body. This approach, to health and fitness, is quite unhealthy. See when you cut calories – too much – you starve your body of the nutrients it needs to thrive.

Calories are very important to your body. The average woman needs 1500-1800 calories a day in order for her body to function properly. These calories fuel your metabolism and your muscles; two factors that are key to being able to lose fat and attain that sexy physique. Where these calories come from are also critical to your ability to lose fat and maintain an attractive outer appearance.

Eating foods that come from a box or can or even from a fast food restaurant will not give your body what it needs to lose fat. These foods are filled with unnatural sugars that poison your body and fats that clog your blood stream; neither of which are good for you, your body, or your health. Rather than eating in this manner, focus on foods that are more natural – fruits, vegetables, meats, dairies, and grains. Sticking with these foods groups, at least 80% of the time, will allow you to naturally lose fat.

On top of this you need to – probably – eat more frequently. We have been taught – for years – to eat three rounded meals a day. While this is much better than one or two meals, it is not optimal to lose fat. Instead, you should be eating about 5 small meals in a given day. You may think this to be impossible, but it is not. First off, cut your portion sizes down (average ½ cup per serving). Secondly, concentrate on eating about every 3 hours.

This type of lifestyle is optimal in helping you lose fat as it helps balance your blood sugar levels and keeps you from getting too hungry.  See, being “satisfied” allows your body to use the calories for energy rather than storing them in case of a famine. Your body is quite intelligent, it knows what it needs and will do what it needs to in order to try to provide it. If it is given the right tools you really do not have to worry too much.

Gain muscle, lose fat

Now, the other trick to lose fat is proper exercise. No more running; it is time to build muscle. Muscle naturally burns fat; the more muscle you have the less fat you have – period. This is not to say you need to become a body builder, just a simple routine 2-3 a week; a routine that challenges your muscles like you have never felt before. Here is the cool thing; muscle is fueled by calories. Therefore, your muscle will help you burn those calories you are consuming; another reason to not stress about eating more than 500 calories day.

So, if you are looking for that thin, slender, sexy, attractive physique, stop looking to lose weight and start looking to lose fat. Fat is unattractive no matter how you look at it. Lose fat, gain muscle and you will have your youth back; maybe even a youth you were unable to experience. Change you mindset and lifestyle now and you will not only experience an unbelievable confidence and energy boost now, but your new found youth will stay with you as you age (providing you keep up this lifestyle).
